Galaxy Entertainment Group Held “Stars of the Year” Award Presentation Ceremony to Recognize 16 Outstanding Team Members

June 6, 2013 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) organizes the “Stars of the Year” awards every year to recognize team members with excellent performance. On Wednesday, GEG hosted the award presentation ceremony for the “Stars of the Year 2012” at the Grand Ballroom of Banyan Tree Macau to present certificates and prizes to 16 outstanding team members, as a token of gratitude for their hard work and contributions to the Group.

The ceremony was attended by the executive members of GEG including Vice Chairman Mr. Francis Lui, President and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Michael Mecca and Director of Human Resources & Administration Ms. Eileen Lui. They were also joined by the winners of “Stars of the Month” and “Stars of the Quarter” from the previous year for the “Stars of the Year” announcement.

During his speech, Mr. Francis Lui commended the GEG team members for their outstanding efforts in helping the Group achieve phenomenal success. He said, “All these remarkable achievements are possible because of our 16,000 devoted team members who we take pride in. And their dedication to creating a genuine ‘Asian Heart’ hospitality has transcended GEG into a highly-regarded gaming and entertainment corporation in this industry.” He also added that as GEG had entered a new phase of development, to bring concepts into blueprint, and to construct and complete the entire integrated resort, the Group continued to need a strong team and an unwavering commitment from all GEG team members.

The winners of “Stars of the Year 2012” are namely Leung Tsz Kin, Fong Chi Meng, Zhuang Yinjia, Lo Man Kit, Wu Shaoqing, Lek U Man, Kuan Wa Fai, Leong Chi Mang, Guo Guangyu, Wong Kuai Sim, Chen Wanxia, Si Tou Chi Mei, Kam Wai Lin, Chan Iong Weng, Zhu Aizi and Seak Chou Io. One of the winners, Leung Tsz Kin, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the support from his colleagues. “I would like to thank GEG for providing me with the right opportunity to maximize my potential. I have also gained a lot of professional knowledge and valuable experience here. I will continue to deliver the exceptional ‘Asian Heart’ service and experience to our guests.”

Each winner of the “Stars of the Year” will be entitled to round-trip air tickets for 2 with 3 night hotel accommodation in Singapore and a cash prize of MOP3,000. GEG also specially designed a training program to help the participants enhance their personal and professional development that would prepare them for future career advancement.

Based on 4 major criteria namely “service excellence”, “overall customer satisfaction”, “commitment to ‘Asian Heart’ service” and “setting a good example for team members”, the 16 winners of “Stars of the Year” have been carefully selected among 342 winners of “Stars of the Month” and the “Stars of the Quarter” from the corporate office of GEG, Galaxy Macau™, StarWorld Hotel and the four City Clubs. With outstanding performance and customer relation skills, 152 out of the 342 winners have been promoted at least once in the past year.
