Galaxy Entertainment Group and Macau Management Association Jointly Host a Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement on Nurturing Macau’s Leadership Potentials

Monday, March 28, 2011 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) and the Macau Management Association (“MMA”) jointly hosted a cooperation agreement signing ceremony today at StarWorld Hotel to present their plans on assisting Macau’s young people and GEG team members to realize their leadership potentials and create a brighter future. Dr. Shuen Ka Hung, Director of Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Mr. Chui Sai Cheong, President of MMA and Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG were witnesses to this ceremonial signing.

Representing the two entities’ in signing the cooperation agreement, MMA Chairman Mr. Tommy Lau Veng Seng and GEG Director Mr. Philip Cheng expressed great anticipation towards the collaboration. In his opening remarks, Mr. Lau said, “Galaxy Entertainment Group and Macau Management Association share a common vision in developing the leadership skills of local young people that meets international management standards. Supporting young people in establishing their values and social perspectives, and cooperating with Galaxy Entertainment Group in designing training programs for its team members, we hope to cultivate a team of elite professionals.” Adding to this remark, Mr. Cheng believes that, Macau, which plays an important role in today’s world economy, have an increasing need for management specialists that can be acquired through quality training and nurturing of its young people. Through this meaningful collaboration, the two entities intend to assist Macau by equipping young people with the expertise that can be applied to assist Macau’s various businesses and sectors reach higher standards, and in doing so, take Macau closer to attaining its objectives of a multi-facet and sustainable development.

Since the beginning of this year, GEG has been fulfilling its commitment to support team members with their career advancements. Making sure that it offers its team members a more solid foundation, GEG provides induction training to all its new team members. Moreover, in preparation for the grand opening of Galaxy Macau™ on May 15, 2011, GEG has been cooperating with MMA and using one of the facilities operated by MMA’s subsidiary, Macau Institute of Management (“MIM”), as training center for its team members. Moreover, GEG and MMA are collaborating to tailor-make the training programs for GEG's team members; focusing on personal skills, emotional qualities and management development, these special programs will assist GEG in nurturing more management talents.
