GEG Donates MOP600,000 to Tung Sin Tong to Support Its Annual Fund Raising for the 19th Consecutive Year

November 11, 2022 – Upholding its philosophy of “What is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community”, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) fulfils its corporate social responsibility by supporting and joining various philanthropic activities. Today, Mr. Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG; and Mr. Buddy Lam, Senior Vice President of Corporate Office of GEG, visited Tung Sin Tong where they received a warm welcome from Mr. José Chui Sai Peng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tung Sin Tong; Mr. Ma Iao Iao, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tung Sin Tong; and its Directors, Mr. Lei Chi Fong, Mr. Lei Kit Heng and Mr. Charles Choy. In support of the annual fundraising campaign of Tung Sin Tong for the 19th consecutive year, GEG donated MOP600,000 to support the association’s daily operations and charitable services, thereby spreading care in the community.
During the visit, both parties exchanged insights over different topics including the development of Macau charitable services, Tung Sin Tong’s future planning, and GEG’s corporate social responsibility. Subsequently, Mr. José Chui Sai Peng and other delegates of Tung Sin Tong, led Mr. Francis Lui and GEG’s executives for a visit to the Tung Sin Tong Historical Archive Exhibition Hall and the Tung Sin Tong Chinese Medicine Pharmacy, where they gained a more in-depth understanding of Tung Sin Tong’s historical plaques, couplet, Confucius Shrine and Chinese medicine cabinet to learn of its history, philosophy and services and advocate the charitable spirit of mutual care.
Mr. José Chui Sai Peng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tung Sin Tong, said, “We are grateful to receive GEG’s support to our annual fundraising campaign, which they have supported for 19 consecutive years. Upholding its corporate citizenship pledge of “Community at Heart, Empathy in Action”, GEG has been contributing to the community by supporting various charities and social services organizations through multiple approaches. In addition to supporting its annual fundraising campaign, GEG also works closely with Tung Sin Tong to organize a wide array of community activities, including arranging for medical staff of Tung Sin Tong’s clinics to watch the races of the 68th Macau Grand Prix and to visit the Macau Grand Prix Museum with their families, engaging GEG Volunteer Team members to visit the Elderly Activity Center of Tung Sin Tong and delivering festive blessings and gift packs to its elderly, and organizing a movie-screening activity for 80 elderly members of Tung Sin Tong and GEG Volunteer Team members at the Galaxy Cinemas. Moving forward, GEG will continue to collaborate with all sectors to jointly build a better Macau.
