April 15, 2019 – Dedicated to promoting a better understanding of national and local development among the community and team members, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has organized a variety of activities to expand their horizons and knowledge of the situations of the country and the Macau SAR on many fronts. To mark National Security Education Day, upwards of 20 GEG team members embarked upon a visit to the National Security Education Exhibition, a collaboration between the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, which opened at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao this morning. The visit aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the country’s developments and achievements in terms of national security and to inspire greater patriotism.

The visit was led by an on-site exhibition guide, enabling the GEG team members to gain a firm grasp of national rejuvenation and development, security advancement as well as citizens’ responsibilities under four themes, through information boards, pictures, videos and models. The multi-faceted exhibition also offers a window on a number of major historic events in Chinese history and the economic, cultural, technological and social feats and accomplishments achieved by China since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. In addition, the visit also explored the five principal elements that constitute China’s overall national security philosophy and related fundamental principles; as well as Macau’s development since its return to China. While viewing the exhibits, the team members engaged in a productive discussion, exchanging insights and views with one another. They described the visit as enlightening and comprehensive, saying that it strengthened the foundations of their knowledge about China. The participants also thanked the company for arranging a visit for them on the first day of the exhibition, which they said reflected GEG’s unwavering commitment to promoting a deeper and better understanding of the country.

GEG endeavors to inspire patriotism among local young people and team members in Macau through a wide range of initiatives. Since 2008, GEG has been the title sponsor of the GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition and its educational trips for winning students. The annual competition has attracted more than 70,000 participants since its debut. GEG also made patriotic education one of the highlights of its annual Youth Achievement Program, taking teenage participants to a number of Greater Bay Area cities. In addition, GEG hosted a seminar based on the Greater Bay Area Initiative for its team members and organized visits to the People’s Liberation Army Macau Garrison for them.
