GEG Receives Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the 2nd Greater China’s Most Influential Brand & Entrepreneur Awards Ceremony

January 21, 2020 – To live up to its pledge of “Making a Difference by Making a Commitment”, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been working with more than 120 social service and charitable organizations in Macau, Hong Kong and Mainland China through its corporate social responsibility initiatives to benefit all levels of society. This January, GEG received the “Social Responsibility Award” in “The 2nd Greater China’s Most Influential Brand & Entrepreneur Awards Ceremony”, which recognizes GEG’s outstanding efforts and accomplishments in corporate social responsibility.

The awards ceremony was held by the Phoenix Skyscape Economic and Cultural & Creative Association with panel of judges comprising of five renown experts from different professional backgrounds, 100 representatives from various associations and local residents. Winning influential brands and entrepreneurs were determined by the committee and through online votes. The “Social Responsibility Award” acknowledges companies that have made significant corporate social responsibility contributions in Greater China. GEG has been working with an array of associations and communities in Macau and mainland China to support society through different initiatives. Earlier, GEG received the Gold Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility Award category at the Business Awards of Macau 2019 ceremony. Mr. Buddy Lam, Senior Vice President of Public Relations of GEG, said it was an honor for GEG to receive this Social Responsibility Award. He expressed his gratitude to GEG team members and the GEG Volunteer Team for their contribution to charitable initiatives, adding that GEG will continue to support different initiatives to spread love and care to the wider community.

In 2019, GEG organized and participated in more than 200 community events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau SAR. The GEG Volunteer Team also participated in an array of activities to share the joy of “double anniversaries” with the community. Looking ahead, GEG will continue to proactively engage in charitable initiatives, and encourage team members to participate in volunteering activities to fulfil its corporate social responsibilities.
