GEG Spreads Love at the Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar

November 6, 2018 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) upholds the philosophy of “what is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community” and attaches great importance to supporting local community service groups. The annual Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar was held last weekend at the Nam Van Nautical Centre. GEG has been supporting this fundraising event for eighth consecutive years by organizing volunteers to work at the fun-filled game booths. Fund raised was given to Caritas Macau to support their community outreach programs for the underprivileged.

The theme of this year’s Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar was “With Love, We Build Together.” This year marked the eighth year of cooperation between GEG and Caritas Macau at the fundraising event. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, presented a cheque for MOP 200,000 to Mr. Paul, Pun Chi Meng, Secretary General, Caritas Macau. A group of 50 GEG volunteers manned the prized game booths they had created, which were well-received by the public. GEG prepared various home appliances and homewares as prizes for winners. Fund raised by the game booths went towards Caritas Macau’s community services.

Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, said that, “As a responsible corporate citizen, GEG has been proactively participating in events organized by local community groups. It is our goal to encourage more people to care for the community and to create opportunities for team members to contribute to society through collaborations with these groups.”

GEG enjoys a close relationship with Caritas Macau and regularly participates in various charity activities organized by the organization. For example, GEG recently sponsored team member participation in the Caritas Macau Charity Run and the Caritas Macau Charity Badminton Tournament. Moreover, GEG donated MOP 100,000 to Caritas Macau at its annual Galaxy Got Talent event this September. Moving forward, GEG will continue to cooperate with various community service groups to improve the well-being of Macau’s residents.
