April 15, 2021 – Through a wide range of initiatives,Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) actively promotes national and regional development to its team members. To celebrate National Security Education Day, GEG today took its team members for a visit to the National Security Education Exhibition at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (“the Complex”) that is being co-organized and made available for public viewing today by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR. Through this visit, GEG hopes to deepen participants’ understanding of the country’s developments and achievements in national security, raise their awareness and support for the government’s policies on ensuring the continued prosperity and stability of the country and Macau, and enhance their national identity and patriotism.

During the exhibition, GEG team members gained insights into the country’s national security through in-depth look at the photos, display panels, and videos on the four topics of “National Defense in the New Era”, “Pursuing a National Security Strategy that Fortifies National Defense”, “Safeguarding National Security and Ensuring the Stability of the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ Principle”, and “Safeguarding National Security, the Responsibility of All Chinese People”. The multifaceted exhibition also gave GEG team members a chance to look back at some of China’s major historical events and to learn about the country and Macau’s efforts and achievements in safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development interests in today’s intricate internal and external environment so that they can better understand the Overall National Security Outlook. While viewing the exhibition, team members also asked questions and exchanged views on different national security topics that they found enlightening.

For this first time ever, this year's exhibition is being held at the Complex, which is a designated venue for the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and other large-scale events. Several of the participants expressed their excitement in visiting the venue, which has deep cultural aspects and said that as Macau citizens, they believed in actively supporting and participating in activities such as this one, which promotes national security and its importance to the long-term prosperity and stability of Macau. The participants all said that they gained a deeper understanding of the motherland’s achievements in national security and thanked the company for arranging a visit for them on the first day of the exhibition, which they said reflected GEG’s unwavering commitment to promoting national education.

Over the years, GEG has been promoting national education to its team members through a variety of means, including supporting the National Security Education Day for 3 consecutive years and arranging for team members to visit the National Security Education Exhibition and online exhibition. GEG organizes national education activities regularly, and in the past, arranged visits to the exhibition of Chairman Mao Zedong’s extraordinary life and significant achievements, the “Base of the Education of Love for the Motherland and for Macau for Young People”, and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macau Garrison. Moving forward, GEG will continue to support and promote national education in Macau, and encourage the patriotism and national pride of its team members.
