Galaxy Macau

The much anticipated opening of Galaxy Macau in the centre of Asia's gaming capital in Macau's Cotai will set new standards in the world of luxury and innovation.

Phase One, of the 44 hectare total area (106 acres) to be completed by mid 2009, will be the jewel in the crown of the Galaxy property stable. The gold and white façade of the property are a tribute to South East Asia, palatial in appearance with a fresh, tropical undertone.

Galaxy Macau is in perfect proximity to all visitors to Macau, by air, land or sea. Situated adjacent to the Lotus Bridge border crossing, that feeds directly to the Chinese mainland and linked to the Macau/Taipa Light Rail Transit system with two separate terminals located on either side of the resort, to be completed by 2011. The property is also five minutes from the Macau International Airport and the new Pac On Ferry Terminal (2008) which makes travel to the resort simple and convenient.

Three hotels will operate in the initial stage, housed in two glorious towers with vistas overlooking a lush tropical environment. Galaxy will operate "Tower A" with 1,500 rooms, and two premium, internationally branded hotels will operate in "Tower B" with an additional 1,000 rooms, all connected directly to the casino. As one of the largest in the world, the casino will have a capacity to accommodate up to 700 gaming tables and 4,000 slot machines in a breathtaking and expansive setting. The mass gaming hall stretches the entire length of the casino at almost 300 metres (1,000 feet) long with 15 metre (50 feet) high ceilings and is lined with boundless retail delights, and restaurants.

The hotels will have large scale 100 table banquet and function rooms, a dedicated Bar City with the most diverse selections of cocktails, international beer, elegant wines and champagne accompanied by a refined range of cigars. Fine dining choices will be laid out in style and abundance such as Shanghainese, Cantonese, French, indoor and al fresco Japanese cuisine will complete a totally superior gastronomic affair.

It is above the gaming hall however, on the roof, where the most stunning leisure playground will reside. The world's largest wave pool laps against its own sandy beach in lush, exotic landscaped surroundings. Swim up to the wet bar and chill or lay out in one of the many Jacuzzi's. Private, enticing cabanas shelter from the sun and in the evening specially designed lighting will alternate the ambience creating a variety of moods and night time scenes.

There are endless opportunities to relax and energise. An indoor and outdoor spa for total pampering, specially designed Tai Chi area, a jogging path through a tropical landscape, an indoor swimming pool, and one of the most technically advanced gymnasiums in Asia.

The Galaxy Macau will represent a renewed level of optimum and unrivalled hospitality, entertainment and indulgence in Macau.
