GEG Honored the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award Again

December 2, 2021 – Upholding its corporate philosophy of “what is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community”, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) is committed to delivering care to all sectors of the community through various practical initiatives. Yesterday, GEG obtained the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the 9th Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award Ceremony organized by the Mirror Post of Hong Kong. It is also the third time that GEG was presented a corporate social responsibility award by the organizer for its continuous fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility. In addition, GEG’s subsidiary K. Wah Construction Materials Limited also obtained the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award.

The award ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, during which Mr. Roland To, Senior Director of Strategic Planning of GEG, received the award on GEG’s behalf. Awarded by a jury of experts from different professional fields after a careful deliberation of the CSR efforts made by the different award finalists from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, an accolade was presented to GEG in recognition of the considerable contribution that it made in the community. Over the years, GEG has proactively supported and participated in many charitable activities. As well, the company actively encourages its team members to volunteer and tremendous resources is dedicated to Macau’s arts and cultural development, talent cultivation, team members’ welfare and career development, SMEs, environmental protection, and responsible gaming so as to facilitate the long-term and sustainable development of all sectors and communities in Macau.

Under the new normal of pandemic control and prevention, GEG has proactively supported the Hong Kong and Macau SAR Governments’ pandemic control and preventive measures. Apart from encouraging team members to support the vaccination program through various initiatives, GEG has also launched a series of preventive and supportive measures and allocated over MOP200 million in support of the communities in overcoming the challenges brought by COVID-19, including a donation of MOP100 million and a subscription of HK$100 million to pandemic-related social bonds.
