September 14, 2023 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) proactively supports the Macau SAR Government’s policies and directions to enrich Macau’s positioning as a “World Center of Tourism and Leisure” through multi-pronged approaches. At yesterday’s 2023 IAG Academy IR Awards at Manila, the Philippines, GEG was named winner of the “Best Integrated Resort” for its flagship property Galaxy Macau™; the “Best CSR Initiative” for its Integrated Resort Youth Development Program; and the “Best Overall F&B Offering by an IR” for the wide array of dining experiences offered at Galaxy Macau. These accolades underline the industry’s recognition of GEG’s dedicated efforts in promoting the sustainable development of the integrated resort industry and fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities. On behalf of GEG, Mr. Buddy Lam, Executive Vice President of Corporate Office of GEG, attended the ceremony and received the related awards.

As one of the world’s largest integrated resorts, over the years, Galaxy Macau has been offering one-stop leisure and entertainment experiences. The integrated resort encapsulates eight award-winning hotel brands, 120 dining options from Michelin dining to authentic delicacies, the Grand Resort Deck – the world’s leading skytop water oasis, the Galaxy Promenade of over 200 international fashion brands, and two award-winning five-star spas. In addition, with its world-class MICE and entertainment facilities including the Galaxy International Convention Center and the Galaxy Arena, a host of cultural, arts, sports and entertainment events were introduced and organized in Macau. These wide range of amenities and offerings have been widely favored by tourists and residents, and serve as a testament of the successful promotion of the “tourism +” cross-sectoral integration.

Upholding its philosophy of “what is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community,” GEG is keen to support the sustainable development of the Macau community. In May, GEG joined hands with the Labor Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government to launch the “Integrated Resort Youth Development Program” that provides comprehensive training and career development opportunities for Macau residents wishing to develop their careers in the integrated resort sector, thereby fostering the cultivation and comprehensive development of local talents. The Program has been well received since its launch, which demonstrates GEG’s proactive support to the Macau SAR Government’s policy of “Building Macau through Talent Training” and nurturing of Macau talents and elites for different fields.

The 2023 IAG Academy IR Awards was organized by Asian media Inside Asian Gaming. Aimed at celebrating and recognizing enterprises and individuals with outstanding contributions to the integrated resort industry in the Asia-Pacific region, its judging panel comprised of 90 industry professionals.
