GEG Hosts GEG National Education Series Activity: Ne Zha 2 Movie Screening for Students and Teachers of “GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition”

GEG and the National Conditions Education (Macau) Association jointly hosted the screening of “Ne Zha 2”, the first Chinese animated film to surpass RMB10 billion at the box office, – at the Galaxy Cinemas of Galaxy Macau for 300 students, teachers, and parents from the participating schools of the “Galaxy Macau Cup”.

February 23, 2025 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been actively strengthening the sense of patriotism among local youth by promoting the country’s developments and achievements through multi-pronged approaches. As part of the GEG National Education Series and a side event of the upcoming “GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition” (“GEG Macau Cup”), GEG and the National Conditions Education (Macau) Association jointly hosted the screening of “Ne Zha 2” at the Galaxy Cinemas of Galaxy Macau™ integrated resort for 300 students, teachers, and parents from the participating schools. “Ne Zha 2”, the first Chinese animated film to surpass RMB10 billion at the box office, is a visually captivating movie that integrates traditional Chinese culture with advanced technology. Through arranging this screening, GEG hopes to deepen local young people’s understanding of the nation’s soft power and foster a stronger sense of national identity and pride among participants.
The screening was attended and supported by Mr. Zhang Chuanwei, the Level IV Division Rank Official of the Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR; Mr. Jack Wang, President of the National Conditions Education (Macau) Association; Fr. Athanasius Chan, Principal of the Saint Paul School; Ms. Ho U, Principal of the Escola Xin Hua; Ms. Wang Shi Qing, Director of the Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School; and Ms. Annie Loi, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility of Public Relations of GEG.
In his speech, Mr. Jack Wang said, “We sincerely appreciate GEG for its continuous support in promoting national education. This year marks the 17thconsecutive year of GEG’s title sponsorship of the ‘GEG Macau Cup’. Over the years, GEG has actively provided diverse opportunities and activities for local students to learn about national development, including organizing this movie screening event. As a cultural masterpiece that presents Chinese traditions in an innovative and youthful manner, ‘Ne Zha 2’ undoubtedly inspires participants to explore the rapid development of technology and strengthens their cultural and national identity.”
As a patriotic Chinese enterprise deeply rooted in Macau, GEG endeavors to create diverse platforms for local youth to engage in the country’s development. Since 2009, GEG has been the title sponsor of the “GEG Macau Cup” organized by the National Conditions Education (Macau) Association, which has attracted over 130,000 student participants and is recognized as one of the three major academic competitions in Macau. Additionally, GEG has also expanded learning and exchange opportunities for the participants, including organizing annual study tours to different mainland cities, inviting students to attend the welcome reception hosted for the national Olympic gold medalists last year, and hosting sharing sessions for students and teachers to share their learning experiences in national education. Moving forward, GEG will continue to make good use of our resources to actively promote national education and reinforce the core values of patriotism and love for Macau among local youth.
