March 13, 2025 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) has been proactively supporting, participating in, and organizing various international sports events in Macau to nurture local young sports talents and promote Macau’s sports development through multi-pronged approaches. Title-sponsored by GEG and co-organized with the Macau Professional Golfers Association (“MPGA”), the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents: PGA Tour Dreams, Macau” (“the Program”) has commenced its training sessions at the Macau Anglican College and Escola Oficial de Seac Pai Van, with professional coaches certified by the Professional Golfers Association (“PGA”) providing 140 lessons to 200 students and teachers from both schools throughout the year. Through a fun and engaging approach, the Program promotes golf in Macau’s schools, stimulates the next generation’s interest and understanding of golf, and contributes to the development of young sports talents in Macau.
Recently, the first training session at Escola Oficial de Seac Pai Van was held successfully. Under the guidance of a certified coach and school teachers, students learned the fundamentals of golf, followed by foundational training using customized, beginner-friendly golf equipment. Ms. Annie Loi, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility of Public Relations of GEG; Mr. Geoffrey Sou, the MPGA representative and PGA certified coach; and other distinguished guests, together with Wavey, the Peacock of Galaxy Kidz, joined the participating students to experience the charm of golf in a warm and lively atmosphere. In his speech, Mr. Sou said, “On behalf of MPGA, I thank GEG for its support in title-sponsoring and co-organizing the Program, which provides Macau students with more opportunities to engage in golf. We look forward to working alongside GEG to cultivate Macau’s young sports talents and to further broaden the range of sports accessible to local teachers and students.”
The Program is designed for students aged 6 to 12 in Macau. Physical education teachers from the participating schools will first receive golf training from PGA certified coaches. Following their training, the teachers will deliver a seven-week golf curriculum to the participating students under the guidance of certified coaches, with aims of promoting golf within the school curriculum and enabling more students to engage in the sport. Moreover, the training equipment used in the sessions is specially designed for beginners, including junior golf clubs and practice golf balls. Through systematic teaching using professional equipment and hands-on practice, students will gradually learn and understand the sport. Upon completion of the Program, the organizers will host related competitions and award ceremonies to encourage active participation and identify talented individuals.
