September 16, 2025 – Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) remains dedicated to supporting the Macau SAR Government’s policy direction of “Macau Thrives on Education” and “Building Macau through Talent Training”. In line with this commitment, GEG actively participates in and supports a wide range of educational and talent development initiatives. Recently, GEG has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with the Education and Youth Development Bureau (“DSEDJ”) of the Macau SAR Government to officially launch the “Nurturing Future Together” initiative, further deepening collaboration in the areas of parenting education and vocational and technical training. In addition, GEG has established school-corporation partnerships with four local secondary schools, namely, Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional, Macau Kung Luen Vocational & Technical Middle School, Macao Sam Yuk Middle School, and Pui Va Middle School, to jointly cultivate diverse and high-quality talent, contributing to Macau’s sustainable development.
The signing ceremony was held at the Galaxy International Convention Center and attended by Mr. Kong Chi Meng, Director of DSEDJ; Mr. Wong Ka Ki, Deputy Director of DSEDJ; Ms. Ho Sut Heng, President of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; Mr. Yu Cheong Ning, representative of the Board of Directors of Macao Sam Yuk Middle School; Mr. Philip Cheng, Director of GEG; and Mr. Buddy Lam, Director of Corporate Affairs of GEG. Mr. Kong Chi Meng said in his speech, “We sincerely appreciate the unwavering support and collaboration from GEG and all participating institutions. Their collective efforts have elevated Macau’s vocational and parenting education to new heights, advancing the government’s vision of a ‘Happy Macau’. Today marks a meaningful milestone as GEG enters into a vocational and technical education partnership with four local non-tertiary educational institutions. This initiative will strengthen students’ competitiveness and foster holistic development, empowering young people to thrive and succeed.”
Mr. Philip Cheng said in his speech, “GEG sincerely thanks DSEDJ for its trust and support, which have enabled the smooth implementation of the ‘Nurturing Future Together’ initiative. We strongly believe that talent is the cornerstone of sustainable development. Over the years, GEG has built diverse platforms to support the comprehensive development of our team members and has actively invested in nurturing local youth. Moving forward, we will continue to work hand-in-hand with all sectors of society to cultivate more outstanding talent for Macau.”
The collaboration focuses on two key areas: parenting education and school-corporation partnerships. Under the parenting education initiative, GEG will work with DSEDJ to formulate training programs and organize a series of parenting education and family-friendly activities to promote a culture of work-life balance and family well-being. On the day of the signing ceremony, GEG also hosted a parenting education seminar under the professional guidance of DSEDJ to help team members acquire effective parenting skills and foster harmonious family relationships.
Regarding school-corporation partnerships, GEG will collaborate with the four local secondary schools to promote vocational and technical education programs, offering students internship and employment opportunities, professional guidance, and curriculum support. This initiative will further strengthen the local talent development mechanism and enhance the cultivation of skilled professionals in Macau.
Throughout the years, GEG has continued to invest resources in organizing, supporting, and participating in a wide range of activities that promote professional development and work-life balance among team members, including parent-child workshops and parenting education seminars. Upholding the philosophy of “what is taken from the community is to be used for the community”, GEG also actively collaborates with various government departments and community organizations to promote youth development initiatives in areas such as national education, science popularization, sports, arts and culture, and community service. These efforts aim to empower the younger generation to enhance their personal and professional capabilities, discover their interests, build confidence, and broaden their horizons.
