GEG Launches “GEG Sports for Good Community Program: ‘V Together’ Volleyball Outreach Series” During “Women’s Volleyball Nations League — Finals Macao 2026 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group”

July 23, 2026 – Organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macau SAR Government, the Volleyball Association of Macao, China, and Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”), the “Women’s Volleyball Nations League – Finals Macao 2026 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” is being held from July 22 to 26. This year marks GEG’s 16th year supporting world-class women’s volleyball events in Macau, and its second time serving as one of the event’s organizers. In addition to fully supporting the tournament, GEG is actively leveraging the positive impact of large-scale sports events through the launch of “‘V Together’ Volleyball Outreach Series” under its “GEG Sports for Good Community Program”. The initiative aims to extend the tournament experience to different sectors of the community and encourage participation. The program features a diverse range of activities, including volleyball exchange activities organized jointly with other event organizers; invitations for local social service and community organizations to attend matches and visit the interactive “Volleyball Experience” zone at the East Square of Galaxy Macau; and support for social service organizations to operate charity sales booths at the competition venue. Through sports, GEG aims to foster social inclusion, strengthen community connections, and bring the positive values of sports to the wider community.

To further promote community participation and amplify the atmosphere of this international sporting event, GEG invited nearly 200 members from local social service organizations and youth groups to attend the matches, including Fuhong Society of Macau, Macau Special Olympics (“MSO”), Macau Deaf Association, Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau, Caritas Macau, GEG Youth Achievement Program and Young Men’s Christian Association of Macau. In addition, GEG supported MSO and Fuhong Society of Macau in operating charity sales booths at the venue, promoting messages of inclusion and diversity through sports. GEG also invited members of Hong Kong Hin at the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau to prepare welcome bouquets for all participating teams upon their arrival in Macau and during their stay at Andaz Macau. Meanwhile, GEG arranged for members of MSO and the Macau Deaf Association to participate in the “Volleyball Experience”, where they enjoyed a series of volleyball-themed activities and gained a deeper appreciation of the sport and the tournament.

Ahead of the tournament, GEG joined hands with other organizers to invite several members of the Chinese Women’s National Volleyball Team, including Ms. Dong Yuhan, Ms. Yang Shuming, Ms. Zhang Zixuan and Ms. Zhou Yetong, to interact with participants from local youth training teams under the Volleyball Association of Macao, China, as well as members of the Volleyball Team of GEG Staff Social Club. During the exchange session, the athletes shared their experiences and took part in friendly on-court interactions with the participants, offering them a unique opportunity to meet elite athletes up close. In addition, GEG supported a series of activities designed to extend the excitement of the tournament beyond the competition venue, including the “Art Everywhere – Cultural Vibes at the Weekend” at Nam Van Lake, the “Volleyball Experience” at Galaxy Macau and a series of autograph sessions featuring participating athletes. All of these initiatives brought the excitement of world-class volleyball closer to residents and visitors alike, enriching their tournament experience while further promoting volleyball within the community.

Over the years, GEG has actively supported the Macau SAR Government’s sports development directions by hosting, participating in and supporting a diverse range of major sporting events in Macau. Through its “GEG Sports for Good Community Program”, GEG has continued to extend the benefits of international sporting events into the community by creating participation and exchange opportunities for different community groups. Recent examples included co-hosting the “Celebrating ITTF Centenary – GEG Macau Special Olympics Inclusive Table Tennis Fun Day 2026” with MSO during the “ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2026 Presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group”, as well as launching the “GEG Run with a Partner Training Program”, which brought together members of the Runner’s Club of GEG Staff Social Club and MSO athletes to train for and participate in the annual “Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon”. Looking ahead, GEG will continue to support the development of sports in Macau, contributing to the city’s vision of becoming a “City of Sports”.
